He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank R. Scalia and Mary Danna Scalia; his wife JoAnn; his son Frederick Joseph; his siblings, Rosalie (Arnold Tucker), Rita (Dick Morrison), Frank V. Scalia and JC Scalia; and also, E. J. and Verna LaMonica.
He is survived by: his daughters, Teresa Gedney of Dover, Delaware. and Angela "Ann" Marie Johnson "Scalia"; his sisters-in-law, Marilou Scalia and Barbara Scalia; his close friend Jeri Oakley; his grandsons, Jason, Joseph, Jacob, Joshua Long and Samuel Conti; his cousin Tony Scalia; and also, Monica Long (Charlie) of Covington, LA, Frank E. Scalia (Myra) and Michelle Conti (Gerald) of Monroe, LA. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
