He was predeceased by: his parents, Florence Cherry and Robert Rogers, Sr.; and his sister Gertrude Byers. He is survived by: his children, Edna Renea Joiner (Wayne), Charles Vernon "Butch" Rogers (Judy), Ryan Lee Rogers (Mary) and Robert Mark Rogers.

Memorials may be made to Highland Park Baptist Church, Pilots for Patients, or Alzheimer's Assocation.
