He was predeceased by: his parents, Les Carter and Olga Carter; and his wife Sue A. Carter. He is survived by: his children, Robert L. Carter, Jr. (Cheryl Macias), Tammy Lucas, Lesley Carter, Mary Lynn Carter Robinson and Nicole Carter Schilling (Stephen); and his grandchildren, Zachary Carter, Carter Robinson, Isabel Robinson, Ava Ann, Eleanor Lynn and William Schilling.
