We are sad to announce that on December 8, 2023, at the age of 84, Richard Runnels Sr. of Monroe, Louisiana, born in Eudora, Arkansas passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Richard Runnels Sr. to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Violet Runnels and Hebron Runnels; and his siblings, Kenny, Ronnie Runnels and Janell Hays.
He is survived by: his wife Peggy Hamilton Runnels; his children, Shelley Stauffer and Richey; his daughter-in-law Sheila Runnels; his grandchildren, Joey, Kelly Runnels, Timothy, Robbie Stauffer, Savannah, Jared Person, Josh Runnels, Lisa Doolittle, Beka and Alex Pendergrass; and his great grandchildren, Aubrey Stauffer, Bentley, Delilah Pendergrass, Jordan Runnels and Trip Stauffer. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Daring Faith Fund at North Monroe Baptist Church.
