He was predeceased by: his parents, William Ford Pipes and Ruth Pipes; and his wife Jo Ann Pipes. He is survived by: his brother William Ford Pipes, Jr.; and his children, Nancy Adele Pipes Bancroft, Richard Hayes Pipes, Jr., William Ransom "Randy" Pipes (Barbee Singleton Pipes) and Wesley Ford Pipes. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
