He was predeceased by: his wife Kay Owens Barton; his parents, Clarence Morgan Barton and Agnes Aymond Barton; his brother Leroy "Sonny" Barton; and his grandparents, John Early Barton and Anna Collins Barton.
He is survived by: his niece Wendy Polo; his children, Dawn Barton Talkington (Michael) and David Barton; his granddaughters, Meagan Chaudoin, Holly Talkington DeYoung (Kevin) and Brittney Talkington Griggs (Cody); his great grandchildren, Olivia and Nolan DeYoung; his sisters, Myra Barton Calhoun and Genelle Barton Polo; and his siblings-in-law, Carolyn and Jerry Broussard. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, a host of other relatives and friends.
