She was predeceased by: her husband Frank Allen Swayze; her parents, Joseph Simmons and Hattie Simmons; and her sister JoAnn Carter. She is survived by: her daughters, Cyndi Swayze and Connie Swayze Davis (Mike Davis); her grandchildren, Kelsey Swayze Davis and Zach Davis; and her sister Gail Nienheis. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Methodist Children's Home, Samaritan's Purse and Tunnel 2 Towers.
