She was predeceased by: her husband Glen "Skosh" Gorton; her parents, Edwin Olan Whitney and Mary Frances Hondlenk Whitney; her sister Janet Whitney Downing; and her brother-in-law Ron Downing.
She is survived by: her children, Seth Gorton (Crissy) and Megan Richmond (BJ); her nephew Clinton Whitney Downing; her niece Sarah Downing Watley (Ricky); her grandchildren, Tytus Gorton Gaven Richmond (Salem) and Kieron Richmond; her great-nephews, Paul Downing (Christina) and Garrett Watley; and also, Jaxon Downing and Liam Downing.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 19th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at 300 Walnut St, Monroe, LA 71201.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Yeager Methodist Protestant Church, the Genealogy Department of the Ouachita Parish Public Library or an animal rescue shelter of your choice.
