It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Lou Taylor of Monroe, Louisiana, who passed away on May 22, 2023, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Dowd and Estelle Bullock Dowd; her husband Sam Wesley Taylor; her son Kenneth Wesley Taylor; her grandson Byron Wayne Mayeux; her great grandchild Chance Pruett; and her siblings, Janie Pippins, Ronald Dean Dowd and Mildred Lois Neal.
She is survived by: her children, LaNelda Moyer (Rodger), Carol Mayeux and Paul Taylor (Lynn); her grandchildren, LeAnne Sedekum (Butch), Dwight Moyer (Melody), Jennifer Taylor, Brent Mayeux, Julie Newsom (Jack), Nathan Taylor and Teresa Lafferty (Derrick); her great grandchildren, Trent, Shawna, Travis, Shaylee, Leah, Anna, Dayna, Joshua, Amy, Sage, Reese, Britley, Callie, Zachary, Brooklynn, Camden, Luke, Natalie and Kyndell; and her brothers, John Dowd (Joyce) and Ben Dowd (Sandy). She is also survived by 10 great-great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many special friends.
