She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Cuthbert Slagle and Anna Wooten Slagle; her children, Alston Pierson, Lee Pierson, Anne Wooten Pierson Patten, Pipes Pierson, Slagle Pierson and Ransdell Raphael Pierson; and her siblings, Elmer Cuthbert Slagle, Jr. and Clarice Slagle Johns.
She is survived by: her husband Robert Hunter Pierson; her children, Pattie Pierson Plauche (Stephen) of Houston, Texas and Hunter Pierson (Cathy) of New Orleans; and her grandchildren, Stephen Alfred Plauche of New York City, Anne Cuthbert Patten Caldwell of Dallas, Texas, John Arthur Plauche of Dallas, Texas and Robert Hunter Pierson, III of Atlanta, Georgia.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Covenant Presbyterian Church or the Strauss Little Theatre of Monroe.
