He is survived by: his children, Tralynda Givens of Monroe, Louisiana, Lavell Givens Jr. of Monroe, Louisiana, Jermaine Jackson of Monroe, Louisiana and TraRay Givens of Monroe, Louisiana; his siblings, Linda Edwards, Sheila Ross, Frank Givens Jr. and Michael Givens, Sr.; and his son James Jackson. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
