Though Kirk Allen may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Kirk Allen touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Cates and Sue Smith Holley; his son Casey Welbourne; and his sisters, Sandy Cates, Gina Reeves and Paula Cates.
He is survived by: his wife Rebecca "Becky" Ross Cates; his stepchildren, Holly Lee Homant, Adam Lee (Danielle) and Aaron Kindrix (Alexandra); his brother Frank Cates Jr. (Brenda); and his siblings-in-law, Roger Reeves, Teresa Cosper (Kevin) and Tonya Powell (Randy). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews; and his work family.
