It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph A. Maggio Jr. (Monroe, Louisiana), born in Natchitoches, Louisiana, who passed away on December 17, 2024, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Wilma Gregory Maggio; and his parents, Joseph A. Maggio, Sr. and Lena D'Amico Maggio. He is survived by: his sister Maria Maggio; and his children, Theresa Brandle (Scott), Bryan Maggio (Heidi), Eric Maggio (Ray), Andrea Powell (John) and Jennifer Blanchard (John). He is also survived by nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Matthew Catholic Church (121 Jackson St, Monroe, LA 71201). A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at the same location.
During his tenure at St. Francis, Joe made significant contributions to the healthcare field.
