He was predeceased by: his parents, William P. Yerger, Sr. and Jane Yerger; his brother William P. Yerger, Jr.; his aunt Xavia; and his uncle Pete McGee.

He is survived by: his wife Jackie Yerger; his sons, Jaesen Yerger (Stacy), U. S. Navy and Justen Yerger (Amanda) of Rayville, LA; his grandchildren, Tristan, Jackson, Savannah, Brooks, Bella Yerger, Adalynn McDowell, Anna Brakefield and Audrey Freeland; his brother Mickey Yerger (Gwen); and his nieces and nephews, Shawn and Chris (Zara). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Disabled Veterans of America or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
