He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernice Hale and J. A. Sandifer, Jr.; his parents-in-law, Florence Kelly and James Robert Nixon, Jr.; and his grandparents, Rosa Carrie Hendricks, Edward E. Hale, Minnie Keene and Jasper Amascus Sandifer, Sr..
He is survived by: his wife Sue Lynn Nixon Sandifer; his children, Julia Lynn Sandifer Kicey (Russell) and Michael Edward Sandifer (Katherine); his grandchildren, McKenna Sinclair Kicey (Hage Work), Michael Dixon Sandifer, Nicholas Daniel Kicey and William Frère Sandifer; and his sister Pamela Rose Sandifer Brunet. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many special friends.
A graveside service was held on Thursday, October 10th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Northeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery (2413 US-425, Rayville, LA 71269).
