He is survived by: his son Howard "Tater" Caviness, Jr. (Jada); his sister Barbara Hopkins; his grandchildren, Justin Caviness (Melissa), Ashley Maxwell (Jeff), Logan Caviness and Hunter Caviness (Cassidy); and also Jerry Wayne Caviness. He is also survived by his numerous great grandchildren, nieces and a nephew.
