It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elizabeth Holmes Carmichael of Monroe, Louisiana, born in Dallas, Texas, who passed away on January 6, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Dr. Richard Holmes and Pearl Holmes; her sister Pearl Duvall; and her granddaughter Hannah Carmichael. She is survived by: her sister Helen Rutchi; her husband Charlie Carmichael; her children, Ruth Chun (Walter), Jonathan Carmichael, Deborah Carmichael, Lydia Carmichael and Miriam Carmichael; and her grandchildren, Amanda Chun, Sarah Walker (Dusty), Leila Kawecki (James), Lydia Besterfedlt (Jon), Jasmine Lenard (David), Shelton Wilkerson and Spencer Wilkerson.
A celebration of life was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Griffin F. H. (911 Warren Dr, West Monroe, LA 71291).
