He is survived by: his wife Evoria Johnson; his son David Johnson (Shayna); his grandsons, David Johnson, Jr. and Tyler Johnson of Chesterfield; his sisters, Lorraine Wright (Harry), Elaine Johnson and Mary Johnson of Monroe, LA; his mother-in-law Catherine Walters; his siblings-in-law, Delilah Walters of Bladenboro, NC, Corothine Surles of Bladenboro, NC, Sheila Walters of Wake Forest, NC, Georgia Johnson of Monroe, LA, Michael Walters of Bladenboro, NC, Algenon Walters of Washington, DC and Gregory Walters (Mary) of Seaboard, NC; and his goddaughter Tedra Embry of Chesterfield. He is also survived by relatives, former students, and friends.
