He is survived by: his children, Richard Douglas "Shag" Wheelington of Farmerville, Louisiana and Elizabeth "Beth" Wheelington Green (Scott) of Calhoun, Louisiana; his grandchildren, Caroline Green Barton (Steve) of Longview, Texas and Spencer Scott Green of Calhoun, Louisiana; and his brother Ken Wheelington of Oak Grove.
