She was predeceased by: her parents, Floy Ida Green Tharpe and George Ernest Tharpe; her grandparents, Lee and H. Q. Green; her husband Colier Murphrey; and her siblings, Kathalene Tharpe Bolfing and Henry Lee Tharpe.
She is survived by: her children, Carl Murphrey of Lake Charles, LA, Coleen Morris (Larry) of Rayville, LA and Cathy Stevenson (Bubba) of Oak Ridge, LA; her grandchildren, Jennifer Wright (Ray), Larry Joe Morris (Tracy), Courtney Sullivan (Jerrel) and Andrew Stevenson (Brett); and her great grandchildren, Marigrace Morris, Cole Morris, Stephan Fontenot, Justice Fontenot, Zane Rulon and Avery Stevenson. She is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
