He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Carmichael Sr. and Genevieve Fournet; and his siblings, Jack Carmichael, Martha Lee Carmichael, Frances Welskopf and Elise Carmichael.
He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Ellen Holmes Carmichael; his children, Ruth Chun, Jonathan Carmichael, Deborah Carmichael, Lydia Wilkerson and Miriam Carmichael; his siblings, Oliver, Mike, Patrick, Billy, Ted and Rachael; and his grandchildren, Hannah Carmichael, Amanda Chun, Sarah Walker, Leila Kawecki, Jasmine Lenard, Lydia Besterfeldt, Shelton Wilkerson and Spenser Wilkerson. He is also survived by nineteen great-grandchildren, and a host of extended family and friends.
