It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles Wayne Hackney in Monroe, Louisiana, who passed away on July 26, 2021, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his birth parents, Margaret Hale (Thornhill) and William Neville "Sonny" McRee; his adoptive parents, Oren Hackney and Leona Hackney (Pender); and his stepchildren, Keith Donelson and Debra McBroom.
He is survived by: his daughters, Pamela Ely (Paul), Phyllis Tacelli (Joseph) and Paula Hackney-Carroll (Kenneth Lee); and his stepchildren, Robert Donelson, Jerri Bennett, Curtis McBroom, Todd Mcbroom and Belinda McBroom-Harrett. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren.
