He was predeceased by: his parents, Haywood Pettis and Lucille Pettis; and his sister Betty Crenshaw. He is survived by: his wife Judy Young Pettis; his children, Jonathan Pettis and Janna Pettis Elmore; his grandchildren, Rainy Finley, Brance Woodard and Sydney Pettis; his great grandchild Cruze Finley; and his siblings, Ruby Davis (Grant), Jerry Pettis and Ronald Pettis (Runt). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
