She was predeceased by: her husband Jeff Spence; and her parents, Lloyd Sr. Cole and Nora Stewart Cole. She is survived by: her daughters, Cindy Mays (James) and Tracy Spence; her grandchildren, Brandy Mays (Les West), Jeffrey Mays (Tasha), Jeremy Mays (Stacie), Ashley Pruitt, Chad Pruitt, Jacob Pruitt (Rachel) and Nathan Pruitt; her brother Lloyd Cole, Jr. (Beverly); her niece Amy Evans; her nephew Todd Cole; her siblings-in-law, Susan Savage (Stacey), Phyllis Temple (Billy Joe), Carrie Nell Windle, Cheryl Spence, Sandy Spence and Tush Spence; and her great grandchildren, Colton Miller and Trevor Mays. She is also survived by several cousins and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or to the American Cancer Society.
