It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bessie Lee Shaw of Monroe, Louisiana, who passed away on September 28, 2021, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Rev. E. J., Sr. and Flossie Graves; her husband James Freeman Shaw; her son Larry Wayne Shaw, Sr.; and her siblings, E. J. Jr., Aaron, John Graves, Doris Martin, Lessie Pruden and Mary Middleton.
She is survived by: her children, Neil Shaw (Patti) and Renee Shaw; her grandchildren, Wayne Shaw (Misty), Greg Shaw, Savannah Batten (Chance), Cody McKeithen (Erika), Julie, Kelsey Harper and Ashley Taylor (Sean); her great grandchild Trent Morgan Massy; her nieces and nephews, Penni Jean Guidry, Sandra "Sissy" Craft, Cindy "Pud" Breland, Ginger Middleton, Darlene Honeycutt, Denise Hardy, Johnette Pitre, Peggy Edmiston, Genell Pons, Dawn Buzzanca, Shelli Pierce, David "Dabo" Graves, Marty Pruden, Dennis "Tiger" Pruden and Benny Pruden; her sister-in-law Effie McGough; her nephew James McGough; her nieces, Shelia Armstrong and Kim Dupree; her sister-in-law Jan McDonald; and her close friends, Frankie King, Melba Moore and Laurie Johns. She is also survived by numerous great nieces and nephews and great grandchildren.
