With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Almeta Marie Washington of Monroe, Louisiana, who passed away on June 23, 2022 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Lucinda Dillard Ward and William Thomas of Washington; her stepfather John Wesley Ward; and her siblings, James Major of Washington, Kenneth Ray Ward and Alice Faye Ward.

She is survived by: her brothers, Thomas Andrew Ward, John Perry Ward and Jerry Arnold Ward.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to W.O.C. Southern Alumni.
