It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alfred Calhoun of Monroe, Louisiana, who passed away on April 1, 2023, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his sons, Wayne Calhoun and Michael Calhoun; his parents, John Calhoun and Mary Mayo Calhoun; and his siblings, Sadie, James, Byron, Brisbane, Homer and Jack.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret Honeycutt Calhoun; his children, Rhonda Calhoun Albritton and Edward James Calhoun (Tonya); his stepson John Darius LaDart (Ruth); his grandchildren, Jennifer Daniels (Derek), Amanda, Casey, Kayla, Jamie, Kaitlyn, Ben and Zach; his great grandchild Ardyn; his sister Gloria Faye Hattaway; his nephew Jimmy McCormick; his great-nephews, Brandon and Justin; his caregiver Johnnie Weathersby; and also, Kim Sanderson, Dr. Ron Hammett, Dr. Kerry Anders, Dr. Greg Sampognaro, Dr. Scott Barron and D. Anderson.
