It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rodney Shaffer (Minden, Louisiana), born in Gibsland, Louisiana, who passed away on January 31, 2025, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Shaffer and Helen Shaffer; and his sisters, Janice Greer and Winnie Sue Hall. He is survived by: his wife Mary Shaffer of Minden; his children, Roddy Shaffer (Danielle) of Shalimar, Denny Shaffer (Bridgette) of Bossier City, Dustin Shaffer (Amy) of Marshall, Texas and Kristi Shaffer of Minden; his siblings, Joyce Puckett of Minden, Jerry Shaffer of Minden and Randy Shaffer of Minden; and his grandchildren, Jordan, Braylin, Julia, Jake, Courtney, Lexie, Gage, Brooklyn, Destini, Eli and Ella. He is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Rose Neath Funeral Home Chapel (211 Murrell St, Minden, LA 71055). A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
