It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Genelle Kay Olson of Minden, Louisiana, born in Wells, Texas, who passed away on June 3, 2023, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Austin Kay and Bonnie Kay; her husband Byron W. Olson; and her sister Sarah Watkins. She is survived by: her children, Mike Smith of East Mountain, Bruce Smith (Gail) of Bossier City, John Smith (Kim) of Gilmer, Texas and Sarah Moore (Bob) of Athens, Louisiana. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other loving family members.
