He was predeceased by: his daughter Amy Duck; his sister Rita Diane Gallespie (Wayne); and his stepson Allen Monroe. He is survived by: his wife Betty P. Monroe of Sibley; his sons, Michael Monroe and Shannon Monroe; his stepchildren, Charles Goines of Minden and Bonnie Haynes of Sibley; and his siblings, Jessie Horn of Natchitoches and Walter Monroe (Robbie) of Oklahoma. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
