She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Guidry and Anita Guidry; her husband James Bernard; her siblings, Louis Guidry, Mildred Robertson, Mayola "Toot" Graves and Ethel Boudreaux; and her sons-in-law, Michael Gale, Sr. and Eddie Lewis, Jr..
She is survived by: her children, Joseph Bernard (Philomena) of Eunice, LA, Bobby Bernard, Sr. (Loretta) of Youngsville, LA, Wilbert Bernard (Marthea) of Houston, TX, Jacqueline Joseph (David, Sr.) of Youngsville, LA, Carolyn Gale of Youngsville, LA and Cynthia Lewis of Youngsville, LA. She is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church - Milton (100 E Milton Ave, Lafayette, LA 70508). A rosary was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 9:30 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
