She was predeceased by: her parents, Alìce II and James Hughes II; and her brothers, James "Jimmy" Hughes III and Victor "Vic" Hughes. She is survived by: her husband Howard Maestri; her children, Missy Maestri Martin (Tom), Sheri Maestri Derbes (Lew), Christy Maestri Peveto (Clark) and Scott Maestri (Claire); her grandchildren, Madison Martin Kuss (Myles), Davis Martin (Mary), Hayes, Maes Martin, Trey, Molly, Garrett, Elliott Derbes, Emma, Cade, Riley Peveto, Miles, Mae and Belle Maestri; and her caregiver Doris Reyes.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 19th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the St Ann Church (3601 Transcontinental Dr, Metairie, LA 70006). A rosary will be held on Saturday, October 19th 2024 at 12:30 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, October 19th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
