With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Wayne George Spalt (Metairie, Louisiana), born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on March 4, 2019 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Norris Spalt and Mildred Durdil Spalt; his former wife Janice Smith Spalt; and his siblings, Norene Spalt Fisher and Jerry David Spalt.
He is survived by: his wife Emily Toomer Spalt; his sister Sandra Manchess (Joseph); his sister-in-law Sandy Landry; his sons, Gordon (Jane), Danny (Jocelyne) and Michael Spalt (Christine); his stepchildren, James Toomer, Jeanne Marie Russell (Paul), Josette Cachia (Peter) and Jeffery Toomer; his grandchildren, Hannah, Dagan, Josh and Ryan; his stepgrandchildren, Kevin, Corey, Zachary, Phillip (Susan) and John; and his great grandchild Roman. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in his honor to Bridge House/Grace House.
