We are sad to announce that on February 12, 2025, at the age of 100, Shirley Edith Kopf (Metairie, Louisiana) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Shirley Edith has departed this earthly realm, her legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May her spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her brother Buddy; her husband John Kopf; and her children, John, Jr., Paula Toal (Richie), Margaret Neupert (late Billy), Catherine Chesney (late Ed), Joanna Alcina (Jimmy) and David (late Peggy). She was also cherished by 15 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and 15 great-great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Edward the Confessor Catholic Church (4921 W Metairie Ave, Metairie, LA 70001). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
