It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rose Ann Young in Metairie, Louisiana, who passed away on March 18, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Rose Ann shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Rose Ann farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Elvira Lecce St. Pierre and Richard Joseph St. Pierre, Sr.; her brother Richard Joseph St. Pierre, Jr.; and her husband Charles A. "Buddy" Young. She is survived by: her cousins, Carol Venezia Ledet, Marie Venezia Glaviano, John Joseph Martinez and Kathy Lecce Lodriguss. She is also survived by numerous other cousins and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, March 25th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Greenwood Funeral Home (5200 Canal Blvd, New Orleans, LA 70124). A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, March 25th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Greenwood Funeral Home Chapel (5200 Canal Blvd, New Orleans, LA 70124). A burial was held on Tuesday, March 25th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Greenwood Cemetery (5190 Canal Blvd, New Orleans, LA 70124).
