He was predeceased by: his parents, Raphael Charles Sagrera and Grace Frederick; his son Mitchell G. Sagrera; and his siblings, Wayne Sagrera (Rose), Rebecca Sagrera and Stephanie Sagrera.

He is survived by: his wife B. Katherine "Kathy" Sagrera; his children, Monica Sagrera Bourgeois (James), Tracy Fife (Dowen Jr.), Holly Gab (Ryan) and Cory Melancon (Jasmine); his grandchildren, Brennan Brown, Bryce Brown, Dowen Fife III, Bayleigh Fife, Lucy Gab, Luke Gab, Jimmy Bourgeois, Carolyn Bourgeois and Lauren Flores; his great grandchild Trace Falgout; and his brothers, Rodney Sagrera (Jan) and David Sagrera.

Visitation was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Memories Funeral Home (4900 Airline Dr, Metairie, LA 70001). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
