It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Philip J. Lobell Jr. (Metairie, Louisiana), who passed away on February 7, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Philip J. Lobell, Sr. and Lucille Champagne Lobell; his wife Linda Thomas Lobell; his brother Harold Lobell, Sr.; and his in-laws, Lowell Thomas, Barbara Thomas, Jimmy Thomas, Gale Kanipes, James Evans and Carolyn Evans.
He is survived by: his children, Thomas, Patricia (Chris), Philip (Julie), Shannon (Aaron) and Lindy; his grandchildren, Tech. Sgt. Michael Case, USAF, Andrew LaBorde, Grant LaBorde, Julia LaBorde, Brooke Lobell Ingraffia, Daniel Thompson, Samantha Thompson, Quinn Champagne, Matthew Sells and Thomas Sells; his great grandchildren, Joseph and Hallie; his siblings, Lucille Lobell Locantro, Adler Lobell (Buddy), Paul J. Lobell and Dorothy Lobell Lanham; and his in-laws, Hugh Thomas and Nancy Thomas.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home (4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd, Metairie, LA 70006). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
