He was predeceased by: his wife Melanie Nolan Munch; his parents, Charles Munch and Frances Munch; his siblings, Charles Jr., George, Alvin Sr., Amelia, Dorothy Munch, Theodora Oliver (Dola) and Mae Gabler; and his daughter-in-law Elaine Munch.

He is survived by: his children, Melva M. Graham (Larry), Melvin M. Munch Jr. and Meladie M. Munch; his grandchildren, Stephanie Munch, Jared Graham (Alexis), Lisa Adkins (Roy) and Kimberly Spahn (Dan); and his great grandchildren, Jordyn, Riley Graham, Shelby, Cole Spahn and Rhea Adkins. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
