He was predeceased by: his former wife Jean Patrick Karl; his parents, Matthew Karl, Sr. and Margaret Borgstede Karl; and his siblings, Milton Karl (Inez), William Karl (Yvonne), Kenneth Karl (Deborah) and Tressie Karl.
He is survived by: his wife Gale Friloux Karl; and his stepchildren, Carl Westbrook, Jr., Tammy Lachney (Lloyd) and Barbara Guidry (Edward). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Memories Funeral Home (4900 Airline Dr, Metairie, LA 70001). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
