She was predeceased by: her sister Ruth Alfaro Figueroa; her parents, Marta Figueroa and Roberto Alfaro; and her stepfather Ludwig Diehl. She is survived by: her husband Dr. Rafael Ducos; her children, Consuelo Ducos Barron (Scott) and Luis Rafael Ducos (Robin); her grandchildren, Jacqueline Herrington, Victoria Romero, Brandon Ducos, Hanna Zamora, Emma Barron, Max Barron and Eli Barron; her stepgrandsons, Jeremy Salva and Matthew Benoit; and her great grandchildren, Isaiah, Isabella, Addison, Andrew, Travis, Audrina, Emery, Archie, Callum and Noah.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 24th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home (5100 Pontchartrain Blvd, New Orleans, LA 70124). A funeral Mass was held on Monday, March 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Cure Alzheimer's Fund, an organization dedicated to advancing research to prevent, slow, and ultimately cure Alzheimer's disease. Donations may be made in Manina's memory at http://www.curealz.org.
