It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leona Vinti (Metairie, Louisiana), born in New Orleans, Louisiana, who passed away on August 27, 2024, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. As Leona departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Leona. Though Leona may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Leo T. Tujague and Violet Heughan Tujague; and her husband Alexander F. Vinti. She is survived by: her daughters, Cynthia Vinti Bohrer (Jay), Linda Vinti LaRocca (Dennis) and Glennie Vinti Mendelson (Jim).
