She was predeceased by: her great grandchild Joshua Michel; her parents, Eduardo Antonio Rangel and Cándida Rosa Martinez; her niece Veronica Elizabeth Alvarez Rangel (Yari); her nephew Brent Greene; and her siblings, Leonel (Leone), Ceferino (Fino) and Eduardo (Cucho).
She is survived by: her spouse Teddy Melancon; her children, Linda K. Rangel (James), Richard Rangel (Leisha), Beverly Smith (Gordon), Terry Melancon and Jason Melancon (Marianthe); her great grandchildren, Richie, Lauren, Gabrielle, Steven, Kalliope, Gordy, Samantha, Jessika, Audrina, Olivia, Rafe, Camden, Dalton and Dillon; her sisters, Idalia (Ida), Edilma (Mimi) and Ana (Chichi) of Jesús; and her in-laws, Gauthier Melancon and Beverly Villarreal.
