Prater, Jeanette Chakrabarti (Ranjit) and Warneida Carter (Marlon); his sister-in-law Ora Prater of New Orleans, LA.; his son Darren Stovall; and his sisters, Velma Lorine Prater Wesley and Octavia Stewman (John Edward Prater). He is also survived by 5 Grandchildren and 1 Great Grandson, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Zion Baptist Church (1413 S Dilton St, Metairie, LA 70003). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
