He was predeceased by: his parents, Dempsey Nettles, and Shirley Toujouse Nettles, Sr.; his wife Debora "Debbie" LeBouef Nettles; his children, Summer LeBouef Stevenson (Shawn), Logan Boynton and Jude Boynton; his sister Colette Nettles; and his siblings-in-law, Jane Weekley Nettles and Timothy J. McCool.
He is survived by: his former wife Shelli McCool Molaison; his children, Duane Nettles, Daniel Nettles (Jennifer) and Kelli Nettles (David Grant); his grandchildren, Emma Nettles, Bennett Nettles, Anna Marie Nettles and William Nettles; his siblings, Dixie Nettles Tucker, Marie Nettles Walker (Michael), Dempsey Byron Nettles, Jr. (Brenda) and Judy Nettles Gallops (James); and his sister-in-law Janis McCool Matthews (Richard). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Vintage Church (3927 Rayne St, Metairie, LA 70001).
