He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Cynthia Tessero Fick; his sons, Brandon Fick (Susan) and Jeff Fick (Liz); his grandchildren, Ethan, Josie, Everett, Carter, James and Charlie Fick; his siblings, Mary Lynn Fick and John Fick (Ana); his nephew Jason Fick (Chandin); his niece Jessica Fick; and his pet Lexie.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association or the Louisiana SPCA.
