She was predeceased by: her parents, John M. Fischer and Iler K. Fischer. She is survived by: her husband Darell Joseph Choina, Jr.; her children, Heather Choina Doell (David) and Colin John Choina (Lauren); her grandsons, David Alwynn Doell III and Noah Joseph Doell; her sister Denise Dupuis (Michael); and her mother-in-law Charlotte Choina Pete. She is also survived by siblings-in-law, nieces, and many friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, June 17th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Memories Funeral Home (4900 Airline Dr, Metairie, LA 70001). A funeral service was held on Monday, June 17th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Tuesday, June 18th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Memory Memorial Park (630 Central Ave, Bay St Louis, MS 39520).
In lieu of flowers, the family is setting up a memorial fund to create a special graveside marker and guardian angel statue.
