He was predeceased by: his son James "Ricky" Nichols; his sister Violet Thiac; and his parents, Otha Nichols and Operal Nichols. He is survived by: his wife Wanda Dupre Nichols; his children, Tammy and Kenny Nichols; and his stepchildren, Kenyon and Trista Childs. He is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Mr. Nichols family is requesting in lieu of flowers please make donations in his name to District 8S Charities, 2525 Indiana Avenue, Kenner, LA 70062.
