James M. Duckworth Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James M. Duckworth of Metairie, Louisiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 2, 2024 at the age of 95. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of James M. Duckworth to pay them a last tribute.

As we bid adieu to James' earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in his wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration James has bequeathed us. For though he may have departed from our sight, his spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.

He was predeceased by: his wife Marie Elise Shea Duckworth; and his parents, Julius Duckworth and Marion Duckworth. He is survived by: his children, James, Elizabeth, Patrick, Eileen and Wendy. He is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as a sister.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Jimmy's memory to the Save St. Mary's fund at St. Mary's Assumption Church of St. Alphonsus Parish, to which Jimmy felt a special connection.
