She was predeceased by: her parents, Ella Baggett Hirstius and Thomas Hirstius, Sr.; her husband Benedict "Buck" Firmin, Jr.; her daughter Lori F. Delatte (late Gary); her brothers, Charles Hirstius, Sr. and Thomas Hirstius, Jr.; and her friends, Joycelyn Latour Broggi and Olga Spreen Smith.

She is survived by: her children, Bruce B. Firmin (Jodi) and Kerri F. Tholen (Carl); her grandchildren, Ashleigh Madden (Paul), Bruce Firmin, Jr. (Brandy), Kaitlyn Tholen (Peter Doley) and Kristen Tholen; her great grandchildren, Davis, Beau Madden and Evelyn Firmin; and her sister Judy Mondebello. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
