She was loved and cherished by many people including: her daughter Laura Kambur Parsons; her son-in-law John Parsons; her grandsons, Jacob Parsons and Michael Parsons of Metairie; her cousins, Patrick Johnson (Jean), Mary Margaret Woodyard (Joe), Michael Johnson (Yvonne), Henry Ragar, Charles Woodyard (Elaine) and Michael Woodyard; her niece Katrina Failla; her nephew Richard Failla (Amy); her parents, Harry Failla and Laura Ferrara Failla of Pine Bluff, AK.; her siblings, Harry Failla, Robert Failla and Joan Failla Smith; her cousins, Anthony Ragar, Billy Johnson, Robert Johnson and Stephen Woodyard; and her former husband James George Kambur. She was also cherished by family members, and life-long friends.
A vigil service was held on Wednesday, October 9th 2024 from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM at the Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home (4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd, Metairie, LA 70006). Visitation was held on Thursday, October 10th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church (105 Bonnabel Blvd, Metairie, LA 70005). A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, October 10th 2024 at 12:00 PM and at 1:30 PM.
Memorials may take the form a charitable donation to St. Catherine of Siena Church in Metairie or to Covenant House New Orleans.
